Who We Are

The Weeks Medical Center (WMC) Volunteer Program is a dedicated team of individuals who generously give their time and talents to support patients, visitors, and staff. Volunteers play an essential role in enhancing the hospital experience by providing warmth, assistance, and a helping hand wherever needed. As part of North Country Healthcare (NCH), WMC volunteers contribute to a network committed to improving lives through compassionate, high-quality care.

What We Do

Weeks Medical Center volunteers assist in a variety of ways to make a meaningful impact on our hospital community. Opportunities include:

  • Lobby Greeters – Welcoming and directing patients and visitors
  • Patient Escort Assistance – Helping individuals get to their appointments safely
  • Clerical & Administrative Support – Assisting departments with office tasks
  • Hospital Gift Shop Support – Helping operate the WMC Gift Shop to serve patients and visitors
  • Event & Fundraising Assistance – Supporting hospital initiatives and community engagement events
  • Patient & Family Support – Providing comfort and guidance during hospital visits

Our volunteers are an integral part of WMC’s commitment to patient-centered care. Whether offering a warm greeting at the front desk, assisting with hospital events, or supporting administrative tasks, every volunteer makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.
