Hospice volunteers are required to complete additional training before accepting their first patient assignment. Below are the steps to ensure you complete the necessary training:

1. Virtual Online Training

• Before your first assignment, you must complete a virtual online training module.
• Once we receive your application, an account will be created for you, and you will receive a unique sign-in and password via email.
• The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator will contact you with login details and instructions to get started.
• This training will take approximately 6 hours to complete.

2. NH Dementia Training Modules

• Volunteers must complete NH Dementia Modules 1-5 within 90 days of service.
• You are encouraged to explore additional modules to expand your knowledge.
• Reports on completed training are sent to North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency (NCHHHA) quarterly.
• When selecting an organization, be sure to choose “North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency” to avoid confusion with a similarly named agency.
• Use the password “Alliance-Dementia25” to access the training.
• These modules take approximately 6 hours to complete.
